Dear Adirondack Family,

Camp will be open in 2021, but we need your help. Many of you have asked how you can help during this difficult season. The CARES Act partially covered staff salaries for two months, but many other expenses were not covered. We have been continuously investing in Camp and hope to raise funds from our community to cover ongoing operating costs and ensure that we can continue to provide the ADK summer to our campers. Our goal is to raise $450,000.

With everything going on in the world, I know most of us look forward to Camp as an escape from the hectic and crazy world surrounding us. It’s a place where we feel at home. I was heartbroken when I heard ADK would not open last summer. We might not have had the summer we wanted but that means the summer of 2021 will be even better! We can get through all this together.

How Your Gift Will Help ADK

Safety has always been paramount, but Covid is making it more expensive to operate safely. Donations will be used to:

• expand health center and kitchen personnel
• support critical improvements, such as to our Health Center, cabins & Awiskini area
• keep our core year-round administrative staff
• pay down Covid-related debt

I can’t wait to come back! I came to Camp for the first time 5 years ago, I was scared, nervous and very homesick at first. But as my time at Camp came to a close that first year, all I wanted to do was stay with my friends that I made. Going to Camp that first year has made the biggest difference in my life and I wouldn’t trade those opportunities for the world.
