Waterfront Floater

Hi everyone! My name is Sai, and I am 20 years old. I grew up on the Upper West Side in Manhattan but recently moved up to Westchester. I just completed my sophomore year at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania. I am majoring in psychology with the hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher. In the fall, I am heading to Barcelona to study abroad. At school, I race for my schools ski team as well as referee intramural sports.

In my free time, I love watching movies and TV. But I love being outside as well. I teach skiing during the winter at windham mountain. I also enjoy cooking and listening to crime podcasts.

This will be my 9th summer at ADK; I started as a camper when I was nine years old!Some of my favorite memories are from camp and some of my closest friends. After 2 years teaching windsurfing, I will be returning this year as a waterfront floater! As a camper, I filled my schedule with water sports because of the calm and excitement I felt while being on the lake so I’m so excited to get back into some old favorites.

I love Adirondack camp for many reasons, but my favorite is the feeling of community that blossoms everywhere you turn. Friends and staff encourage you to try new things, and you find yourself doing the same for other people. I hope to help campers take advantage of everything camp has to offer because it truly is a place like no other. Counting down the days!
