Swimming

My name is GeorgAnna. It’s pronounced George- Anna. Currently, I live in Cortland, New York, which is 2 hours away from where I will spend my summer with some of the best people I am about to meet in my life; this year will be my first year attending Adirondack camp. I attended Maine endwell high school. My parents got me involved with swimming when I was 5. I have started reaching out to my hopes of becoming a firefighter for my county so I can help those who need it.

I have always had a strong connection with kids younger than me. Being indoors makes me sad, but being outside makes me feel like I’m at home. I enjoy sunsets and am thrilled about sunsets on the peninsula.

This summer I will be teaching the campers at ADK swimming. I feel that there are many water activities at camp, and every camper has a great opportunity to enjoy all of the water activities and become good at swimming. So, therefore, campers can do more involved activities.- I am mostly looking forward to being with all the staff and campers and having new experiences. I understand some campers may be overwhelmed and anxious initially, and I am confident everyone will adjust quickly. Looking forward to summer 2025!
