Junior/Intermediate Linehead
Hi, I’m Vicki! I’m turning 22 at camp this summer and am from Westchester, New York. I am graduating from the State University of New York at Oneonta this May with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from birth to grade 6. For the past three summers, I taught Standup Paddleboarding but this is my first summer as Junior/Intermediate Line Head!
I was a counselor on both the junior/intermediate and senior lines, but I look forward to returning to camp in this new role. I hope to guide the staff and campers on my line to help them grow, go out of their comfort zones by trying new things, and have the best summer of their lives! I believe in creating a safe space for open communication and close friendships.
Here are a few things about me: I have three cats! Their names are Ringo, Moo, and Brownie. My family recently adopted Moo and Brownie as a bonded pair. I love being outdoors; going on walks, hikes, or a calm morning paddle around the peninsula. I also love listening to music, reading a good book, and playing the New York Times trivia games.
I feel most like myself at camp and want to ensure everyone feels the same way I do. I am so excited to meet new faces and reconnect with familiar ones in the most beautiful place in the world. See you all this summer on the peninsula!
