Hellur! I’m Daniel, originally from El Salvador but now living in Houston, Texas. I have an associate of arts in teaching, and I’m currently studying bilingual education at the University of Houston Downtown. During the day, I work as a school math tutor and after-school teacher for a fourth-grade class.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me enjoying musicals like Wicked and Hairspray. I also have a deep love for Latin American and Italian cuisines, and I love experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. And, of course, music is a big part of my daily routine!
I’ve been passionate about cooking since I was a kid, and I’m excited to be back at Adirondack Camp for my second year teaching Culinary Fun. I can’t wait to share my Latin and Southern flavors with the campers! Outside of cooking, I enjoy singing (even if I’m not the best) and binge-watching my favorite shows.
Adirondack Camp holds a special place in my heart because of its stunning lake views and the opportunity to meet new people. This summer, I’m looking forward to inspiring campers to get creative in the kitchen and to help them overcome any fears they may have about cooking.
