Adirondack Camp might be the best arts camp New York; creativity should have no limits and our arts program reflects that spirit. As well as our regular creative arts activities from performing arts to movie-making, what sets us apart is our broad guest artist program. Each week we invite an artist or two in to teach something in their area of expertise, and it can be anything. These visiting creatives bring fresh energy, new skills, and exciting workshops that ignite inspiration and expand our campers’ artistic horizons.

Last summer, our arts pillar featured an amazing lineup: magician David Black dazzled campers with sleight of hand and stage presence; ADKGlassblowing brought the ancient art of glassblowing right to our camp; we explored everything from sewing and tap dancing to paper-making and altered book design, ceramics, extreme friendship bracelet making and even more!

Guest Artists are a crucial part of the arts pillar! They are typically more specialized and established in their craft/medium. They add another dimension to camp by helping to provide more diverse arts activities. Their work at camp is crucial in getting our campers outside of their artsy comfort zones!
