Don is the Facilities Manager and the heartbeat of our maintenance team. Living onsite with Director of Operations, his wife, Rikki, he’s always available to address any issues that arise, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Don’s commitment is evident not just in his day-to-day responsibilities, but also in the impressive work he accomplished over the off-season. From repainting and renovating buildings and creating a new cabin, Don’s efforts have enhanced the camp’s charm and functionality. Don has a great sense of humor and you’ll often see him zipping up and down the camp road in his favorite toy - The Kubota.

Also on the team are Assistant Facilities Manager Steve, who’s been part of the Adirondack Camp family for decades, as well as Arnold, Lucas and Marcela who round out the rest of the team, each of them bringing unique skills and strong work ethic to camp. Much of what the maintenance team does goes unseen. They handle numerous tasks behind the scenes—from everyday cleaning, landscaping and repairs to handling wildlife, plumbing and electrical work, and ensuring safety standards are met. Their dedication, expertise, and hard work are the reasons Adirondack Camp can remain a place of beauty and a well-maintained and welcoming environment for all.

Sing-Off

Wednesday Night’s activity was Blue/White Sing-Off! Teams have been practicing their camp song and spirit songs ready to face-off against each other. A select group from each team wowed the audience with their original compositions—unique renditions of familiar tunes with lyrics that told their own camp stories. Both teams did such an amazing job, stay tuned for the announcement of the winner, and keep an eye out for the performances, which will be posted online soon!
