Saturday

Today was our first Flip Day! A whole day in between session one and two where our staff and campers staying on till next session could have a low key day to rest and reset. The morning kicked off with a hilarious staff Wimbledon tournament. Imagine players donned in creative costumes, wielding everything from frying pans to bugles—not your typical tennis gear! Laughter filled the air as balls flew in unconventional ways, creating a hilarious spectacle for all. In the afternoon the fun continued with a beach party at Senior Point, as well as volleyball and tubing!

We wrapped up the evening with s’mores and a chilled campfire for everybody to enjoy. Flip Day was a perfect blend of relaxation and excitement, setting the stage for more memorable moments ahead in our camp journey. Positioned between two bustling sessions, it served as a much-appreciated breather, allowing us to recharge and contemplate the reasons behind our presence here. It reminded us of what makes this place truly exceptional, and of the natural beauty we have all around us with Lake George and the Adirondack mountains, ensuring we enter our Second Session with renewed energy and enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for our surroundings!!

Sunday

Today marked the start of Session Two with our exciting move-in day, as we warmly greeted approximately 100 children onto the peninsula. Upon arrival, after check-in and receiving their cabin assignments, our dedicated cabin staff and Lineheads enthusiastically welcomed the campers into their new living quarters. They assisted campers in settling in, unpacking their belongings, and making their bunks cozy and comfortable.

Once everyone had arrived and comfortably settled in, we convened for line meetings followed by an early retreat and dinner. The evening flowed into camp tours, providing campers with a firsthand look at the diverse activities available for this session. It was a chance for them to explore and, if they wished, adjust their schedules to best suit their preferences!
