Dive into Adventure: 'Polar Bear' Celebrates Our Love for Lake George
Each morning at camp begins with the resounding call of the bugle playing Reveille. The notes drift across the ballfield, seeping into every cabin and rousing everyone from their sleep. Just moments after, a voice—lively and enthusiastic—shouts, POLAR BEAAAAAR! This spirited wake-up call heralds one of our favorite morning traditions: the Polar Bear dip. For those brave enough to embrace the chill of the morning, it’s a refreshing, invigorating dip in George that offers a splash of adventure right at the start of the day.
It’s events like the Polar Bear swim that remind us just how fortunate we are to be here on the shores of Lake George. The opportunity to dive into the lake first thing in the morning, and to enjoy a variety of water activities throughout the day in the cleanest lake in the US, is truly special. From swimming and sailing to canoeing, kayaking, and waterskiing and more, our camp’s diverse range of aquatic activities allows us to fully embrace the natural beauty and endless fun that Lake George has to offer. Each splash and stroke is a testament to the unique experiences that make our time here on the peninsula unforgettable.
Cabin Nights offer another fantastic chance to enjoy the water. On their designated evenings, cabins can dive into water activities including bobbing, canoeing, tubing, or stand-up paddleboarding. After a hot day packed with action and excitement, it’s the perfect opportunity to unwind and have a blast in the lake!
